Dulwich College Spring Concert - Southwark Cathedral
The residents of the Almshouse attended Dulwich College’s Spring Concert in Southwark Cathedral on the evening of Wednesday 22nd March, at the invitation of the College.
The music department had kindly reserved seats in the 3rd row for the residents.
Listening to the orchestra play Mendelssohn and Haydn, and the choir’s wonderful rendition of Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor, in the beautiful Cathedral, was a serene end to the day.
The opportunity to hear such a lovely performance was appreciated even more than usual, after the sad news about the tragic terrorist attack at Westminster earlier in the day.
Many thanks to Dulwich College and to the United St Saviours Charity who secured parking for us nearby.
