Inaugural Summer Social
On Friday 15th June 2018 the DAC’s residents, along with their guests and DAC staff and trustees, joined together for our first summer social event...
This followed feedback from the residents that they had enjoyed having a summer event to which they were able to invite family and friends in 2016, when we held our 400th anniversary celebrations. The DAC Board subsequently agreed that such a social event should be held every other year. Hence on a glorious summer evening, in a marquee on the lawns in front of the almshouse, we enjoyed a wonderful meal. The summer flower theme for the event extended to the quiz, which was won by the Sweet William table.
Our thanks to the Camberwell Recorder Consort and the Welcome Singers, supported by the Southwark Pensioners Centre, who entertained us on this lovely evening.
